Generic Topamax

TOPAMAX (topiramate) is indicated as monotherapy for the treatment of patients (adults and children aged six years or older) with a newly diagnosed epilepsy.

MIGRAINE

TOPAMAX is indicated for the prophylaxis of migraine in adults. We may consider prophylactic treatment of migraine in the following cases: adults with at least four migraine attacks per month do not meet adequate treatment interrupted shrill repeated crises affecting significantly the daily activities of patient tendency to migraine attacks increasing over time, with risk of rebound headache in interrupting acute treatment; failure or cons-indication drugs or acute treatment interrupting unwanted side effects of these drugs. Continued treatment should be reviewed every six months. TOPAMAX should not be used in the acute treatment of migraine attacks. The safety and efficacy of topiramate in the treatment and prevention of cluster headache or migraine headaches hemiplegic, basilar, ophthalmoplegia or processed, have not been established.
